"Teach me to be myself"
Did you know that the first few years of life are the most important? We learn more in the first three years of life than we do the rest of our lives. Apart from archaic reflexes and survival instincts, we are born without any skills. And yet, at 3 years old, the child knows how to eat, walk, speak... How does the child manage to do this in such a short time?
The enormous amount of work that he does spontaneously during his first three years of life allows him to develop the ability to walk on his own, at the cost of intense effort. He learns his mother tongue, without formal instruction and without conscious or tedious effort. The child unconsciously gathers a considerable amount of data without the adult noticing.
During this 0-3 years phase, the child has an "unconscious absorbing mind". He takes in everything his environment has to offer. The child is, in fact, an insatiable explorer driven by the desire to build and evolve. He needs the adult, but also carries the means of his own development. The child's intelligence and development function "naturally" and without constraint, if the educational environment is well constructed.
That is why La Chrysalide is committed to providing a supportive and dynamic environment where children are able to continue the natural process of their growth and development.
In a 2-3 year old environment, children are constantly working :
Through personal care activities (dressing/undressing, putting on/removing shoes, washing hands, etc.) and environmental care activities (cleaning, tidying up, caring for a plant, respecting peers, etc.)
Children are encouraged to develop their fine motor skills (use of their hands) and gross motor skills (use of their body). Movement is an ally in learning. From birth, the newborn does not stop moving with pleasure. Through this irrepressible movement of body, the little one creates a bond in the first place, then through motor interaction, he develops his body, his affectivity and later his mind.
This sensitive period allows the child to perfectly assimilate the languages he hears daily. The extra stimulation will allow him to learn naturally to speak with all the rules of conjugation and grammar without any lesson.
